On Saturday 21st September 2019 before the game against Salford City, the Crewe Alexandra Supporters Society conducted our latest Foodbank collection for the local community.
The aim was to collect as much food as possible for those people in the community that really need it. As always the Crewe Alex fans came together and donated a grand total of 313.6KG of food which equates to roughly 400 meals.
Please keep your eyes peeled for the next Foodbank dates when they are announced. 313KG’s of food was great, but we’re hoping to get even more next time. Just remember, with whatever we can collect, we could be making a real difference to families that need our help.
When the Foodbanks are conducted, the type of food that we require includes:
Cereal
Soup
Pasta
Rice
Tinned tomatoes/ pasta sauce
Lentils, beans and pulses
Tinned meat
Tinned vegetables
Tea/coffee
Tinned fruit
Biscuits
UHT milk
Fruit juice
